The following provides a brief description of the activities listed on the “Get Involved” form and will help you in choosing projects that will fit your interests and skills.

  • FLATHEAD COUNTY PARKS & REC: Nature Island Clean Up

    Flood Clean Up and Debris Removal

    Flooding makes for a huge mess and this year is slated to break records. So grab a shovel, some gloves and come out to help clean up this park threatened with serious flooding.

  • HABITAT FOR HUMANITY

    JULY 18 & JULY 20

    House build for a family in need.

    Extreme Home Makeover junkie? Don't miss this chance to be a part of building someone's dream home. Experience is beneficial but not neccesary.

    **Volunteers must commit to this opportunity for an entire day-8am to 4pm. This event is for 18 years and older. If you have tools, please bring them to the build.

  • LIGHTHOUSE

    JULY 19

    Weeding, Gardening, and Yard Clean Up, and Electric Fencing

    The Lighthouse is a Christian, non-profit home for developmentally disabled adults. These folks are an absolute blast so join us for some farmer fun and help us make their property sustainable.

    18 volunteers needed (4 experienced volunteers needed for electric fencing)

  • RED CROSS BLOOD DRIVE

    Give Blood or Help Host the Blood Drive

    You know you've been meaning to donate blood so don't put it off! We'll even give you free juice and cookies! Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older. 17-year-olds can donate if they have a signed consent form.

  • SAMARITAN HOUSE : FOOD DRIVE

    JULY 20

    Food items will be collected at the Samaritan House's Armory to benefit the Samaritan House

    This year, the Samaritan House is facing potential cutbacks and our food drive will go to help offset this serious deficit. If you can't volunteer, please mark it on your schedule and make sure to bring by food items.

  • SAMARITAN HOUSE : DEEP CLEANING

    Facility deep cleaning, painting, and yard clean up

    The Samaritan House provides transitory housing and food for those in need in our community. We're seriously stoked about the Samaritan House so we are going to blitz their dining facility with a cleaning extravaganza before their upcoming health inspection.

  • HUMANE SOCIETY

    Hand out pamphlets about the Humane Society at the Rebecca Farms Equestrian Event.

    The Rebecca Farms event is one of the premier equestrian events in the United States--if you love animals, this is the perfect spot to show it!

    Brighten up the lives of those at the Immanuel Lutheran Communities by sprucing up the place with clear windows and a fresh coat of paint.

    1-on-1 visits with residents & flower bed care

    Remind the elderly in Bigfork that God sees and loves them. We'll be dedicating time to 1-on-1 visits and cleaning up the facility's flower beds.

  • BOYS & GIRLS CLUB

    JULY 23, JULY 24 & JULY 25

    Clean up, excavate, pour concrete and set playground equipment in concrete

    The Boys & Girls Club is ready to swing into action with a sweet new playground but they need some serious help to make it happen. This project calls for experienced builders and specialty equipment, so put your skills to work.

  • HOPE PREGNANCY MINISTRIES

    Deep-cleaning of housing facility

    Hope Pregnancy Center provides Godly counsel and housing to pregnant women facing difficult circumstances. If cleaning and organizing is your gig and you're not afraid to scrub, we can use you for this job!

    Have a heart for those facing an unplanned pregnancy? You can be a part of helping them by digging in to make sure the Clear Choice Clinic facility is clean and welcoming.

  • WHITEFISH PARKS & REC: Flower Beds

    Weed Flower Beds and Trim Trees in Whitefish

    Admit it-your favorite part of growing up was the mud pies. Revisit those days with some playtime in the dirt. We'll be fixing up flowerbeds across the city of Whitefish and along Highway 93 North.

  • WHITEFISH PARKS & REC: Painting

    JULY 23 and July 26

    Painting structures throughout the city from hand railings and benches to bridges

    A fresh coat of paint can do wonders-it can cover graffiti and change hearts. Don't miss this chance to shower the community of Whitefish with Christ's love.

  • WHITEFISH PARKS & REC: Trail Clean Up

    Cleaning, Repairing, and Building trails throughout Whitefish

    We know you. You'd take fresh air over air conditioning ANY day. We celebrate you and those like you with an opportunity to build five more miles of bike trails along Whitefish Lake.

  • INTERMOUNTAIN

    Landscaping, plant a garden, organize donated items, and window washing

    Intermountain provides mental health and educational services to effectively meet the diverse needs of children and families facing emotional challenges. If your green thumb has been itching for some exercise, help us get these kids a garden started. We'll also have tons of other jobs so we hope to see you there!

    Yard clean up and painting

    A Ray of Hope is an organization that helps the hungry and homeless with food, housing, and biblical counseling. We want Ray of Hope to feel like home for the folks staying there so we'll be cleaning up the yard and providing new paint jobs to various structures to keep it looking fresh and clean.

  • KALISPELL PARKS & REC: Lawrence Park

    Landscaping, debris clean up, trash pick up, and staining various structure

    Like ultimate Frisbee? Enjoy a delicious, grilled burger or a walk along the river? So do we--that's why we love Lawrence Park and are prepared to do what it takes to keep the park in top-notch condition from landscaping to trash pick up.

    Renovation of restrooms

    At any park, one area that generally needs improvement is the bathroom. Parks & Rec has let us know this happens to be the case at Lawrence Park, so we're going to give the interior of the restrooms a facelift.

    Help build a Folf course

    Folf, Frisbee-golf, is a favorite pastime of park-goers across the country. It's awesome, free entertainment and even encourages a little exercise. Volunteers will help map out and mount “holes” or targets throughout the park that will complete a killer local course.

  • BIGFORK SENIOR CENTER

    Yard work, flower garden care and window washing

    This is the last project of Rock This City and we want to end big! We plan to rake a river of pine needles off a big hillside so we are calling volunteers who are ready to dig deep and sweat or God's glory. We'll also be offering more tame projects like garden care and window washing.
